Are you still on the look out for the perfect gift to give your loved ones this Christmas? Are you the type to consider all the options before deciding what you think is the very best gift? What if we told you that you don’t need to look any further. This year, you can give the Gift of Sight, a gift that makes a lasting impact long after you’ve made it.

Here’s a first-hand account we would like to share with you about the ways in which your gift can make all the difference.

In September, a member of our donor relations team, Brittany Beatty, visited five states in India over two-and-a-half weeks. Her itinerary was crammed with visits to seven partners, and she came back brimming with personal stories of the great work that dedicated donors like you are helping us achieve.

“Our Indian team is passionate about their work and it’s clear how knowledgeable and caring they are for the people they’re helping,” says Brittany. She adds that she had some “aha!” moments in India.

“It was clear to me that our donors are bringing real value to our partner hospitals by helping them transform their operations and outreach programs. Because of our donors, Operation Eyesight provides critical knowledge and training to eye care professionals, and our excellent reputation keeps growing,” she says.

One of the biggest things Brittany learned is how much more work there’s still to do. “I felt humbled in the presence of our staff. It was amazing to experience first-hand the impact they’re having on the people we’re helping.”

Thanks to your support, our work is creating ripple effects throughout the communities we serve. From eye care patients to the staff we train, your support is giving hope to so many children, women and men who deserve to see the world around them. Together, we are transforming entire communities!

So what are you waiting for? Why not give the Gift of Sight by donating to our screening and outreach program in the name of a friend, family member, or a colleague? You can feel the holiday spirit knowing that by giving this gift, you’re not only sending a beautiful message to a loved one, but your gift will make a lasting impact in the lives of people who are less fortunate in Africa and Asia.
